Why it’s a Scam:

Clicking on the wall post link takes you to the following page:

Clicking “Accept” loads the following page used to spread the scammer’s message by posting the status update shown above to your wall:

Clicking “Publish” loads the following survey scam screen:

How to Deal with the Scam:

If you did make the mistake of publishing the spam message to your wall, then you will need to remove it from your news feed. You don’t want to be spamming the message to your friends. Remove the item from your wall by clicking the small “x” in the top right hand corner of the post. There is an option to “Mark as Spam.”

If you submitted your cellphone number while completing any surveys, then you should contact your carrier immediately and be on the lookout for bogus charges.

If you downloaded any files, games, etc., then upgrade or install anti-virus software and do a complete system scan of your system.
