According to CBS, a 14-year-old
Carolyn Murphy, Essex County Prosecutor, told NBC New York, the younger boys were insulted by being called “a punk,” “gay,” and “fat.” The incident further escalated when the 14-year-old threatened to kill the victims. One 12-year-old received a message stating “the teen would tie the boy to a pole, attach a rope and hook it to the boy’s stomach, tie it to his car and drive off, tearing off his body.”
The 14-year-old was arrested on charges of harassment and making terroristic threats. He was processed and later released to his parents.
