A new privacy control has been implemented by Facebook allowing users to easily hide recent activity displayed on their wall. Users now have the option to apply a “Hide All” setting to virtually any activity that normally shows up on their “Recent Activity.” (friending, liking, comments posted, questions, etc.)
Hovering your mouse over the top right-hand corner gives you the option to remove the specific action or hide all activity of that type. Previously, users had to remove each post individually – a painfully laborious task for the uber privacy conscious.
Are you a very “likeable” person, but do not necessarily want to share all of those likes under your “Recent Activity?” Now you can easily hide all of your liking!
Do you prefer to keep your friends close and your frenimies closer? If so, you can now easily prevent your new friendships from displaying on your Wall:
Do you like to give your two-cents or share your witty comments with your Facebook world? Perhaps you don’t want everyone on your friends list to know just how opinionated you really can be . Now you can keep on commenting away, and you can keep this activity from showing up on your Wall!
The new feature only applies to personal accounts and not Facebook pages. Page administrators must still hide stories and other activity on an individual basis.
