Scam Signature Message: Xbox Live logo with the same message as the scam name

Why it’s a Scam: Clicking on the link takes the user to a page hosted on blogspot.com. The Xbox styled page informs the user that they must complete three steps to receive the free points. The first step is to “Like” the page, the second step is to “Share” the link, which results in a Wall post that will be used to sucker your friends in as well. The third step is to complete a survey. This is a marketing gimmick used by survey scammers. They get paid by each survey completed, so don’t help them out by giving them access to your profile information.

Turns out, this is another survey scam that attempts to lure users into signing up for premium services. As tempting as they may be, don’t fall for links or messages that are overly sensational or are offering deals that sound too good too be true. 99% of the time it will end up being a scam of some kind.

How to Deal with the Scam:

If you did make the mistake of passing the link onto your friends, you should clean-up your newsfeed and profile to remove references to the all of the page referenced above.
