Why it’s a Scam:
Both scams attempt to lure its victims by promising exclusive and new Farmville items. Those familiar with Farmville know that this is nothing new. The end game of the scammers is to get you to complete a survey scam of some kind. Every time someone completes a survey the scammergets paid. Don’t compromise your online safety and identity while lining their pockets. Some of these scams are more malicious in their intent and infect your system with malware.
How to Deal with the Scam:
If you did make the mistake of publishing the spam message to your wall, then you will need to remove it from your news feed. You don’t want to be spamming the message to your friends. Remove the item from your wall by clicking the small “x” in the top right hand corner of the post. There is an option to “Mark as Spam.”
If you submitted your cellphone number while completing any surveys, then you should contact your carrier immediately and be on the lookout for bogus charges.
If you downloaded any files, games, etc., then upgrade or install anti-virus software and do a complete system scan of your system.
