Why it’s a Scam:
When you click on the Wall post link you are taken to the following screen:
This is a very basic and poor attempt at a Facebook survey scam. Most of time, you are required to install a rogue application that like jacks your account and posts their message to your newsfeed. This particular scam asks you to “like” and “share” the page. Even if you do not complete those actions, you can still “Click here to see!” When you do “Click Here” you are taken to the following, poorly designed survey screen:
How to Deal with the Scam:
If you did make the mistake of “liking” and “sharing” the installing the application and passing the link onto your friends, you should clean-up your newsfeed and profile to remove references to the application (click the “x” in the top right hand corner of the post).You also need to access your privacy settings and remove the application from your list of approved Facebook applications. (Account/ Privacy Settings/ Applications and Websites.)
