At this stage of the scam, you are asked to publish a message to your newsfeed. This is how the scammers willfully get your cooperation in spreading their spam messages. Once you click “Publish” or “Skip” you are presented the following survey scam:
After completing this survey, you won’t get a plane ticket booked to England, but the scammers will have your personal information. This is the survey scammer’s end game. These downloads often contain viruses or other malware that can infect your system. Never download anything from scams like this.
How to Deal with the Scam:
If you “shared” the scammer’s message by publishing a message on your newsfeed, you should remove the post from your wall. You should also notify your friends that you were the victim of a scam and that they should not click the link. If you made the mistake of submitting your cell phone number for any of the surveys, then you should contact your carrier immediately to keep any bogus charges from appearing.
