Why it’s a Scam:
Once you click on the Wall Post link, you are taken to the following page:
This screen requires you to click “like” before proceeding. Step 2 asks you to share a message about the video with your friends. (you don’t have to complete step 2 to proceed.) Step three is a link to the survey scam shown below:
How to Deal with the Scam:
If you did make the mistake of clicking on the scam message you will need to check your news feed and make sure you aren’t spamming the message to your friends. If you are, you need to remove the item from your wall by clicking the small “x” in the top right hand corner of the post. There is an option to “remove and unlike.”
Completing survey scams is a danger to your privacy and downloads can infect your system. Also, your friends won’t like getting spammed with the messages you’ll be sending out.
